Nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva, this small village in Haute-Savoie is preparing for a particularly busy summer season. Concerts, open-air cinema, exhibitions, and popular festivals will follow one another for more than two months, offering both residents and visitors many opportunities to enjoy the beautiful summer evenings.
A cultural summer in the heart of Nernier
Just a few kilometers from Yvoire, the village of Nernier reveals its peaceful atmosphere and authentic charm every summer. In 2026, the municipality is once again betting on a varied cultural program that will run from early July until mid-September.
Around the Ferme d’Antioche and its open-air theatre, events will take place throughout the season. Music, visual arts, cinema, and festive events have been designed to bring together residents, holidaymakers, and lovers of Lake Geneva.
This cultural dynamism is based on a municipal desire to bring the village to life throughout the summer and highlight local and regional talents.
The Ferme d’Antioche transforms into an art gallery
As every year, the Ferme d’Antioche will become one of the unmissable places of the season. Its exhibition spaces will welcome various artists throughout the summer.
Painters, photographers, and sculptors will take turns presenting their works to the public. Visitors will be able to discover new artistic universes every week in a particularly pleasant setting.
Some exhibitions will also be accompanied by workshops open to children and adults, allowing them to learn about different artistic practices.
Concerts in the open-air theatre
Music lovers will be able to enjoy several evenings organized in the open-air theatre, a venue appreciated for its intimate atmosphere.
Among the announced events:
- July 4 with the band Casting and their pop-rock covers;
- July 23 with the band Back to Black;
- August 21 with the duo BBlayZ and Pascal Albas.
These concerts will allow enjoying the long summer evenings in a particularly pleasant natural setting, in the heart of the village.
Two open-air cinema screenings under the stars
Open-air cinema will also return during the summer. Two screenings are planned in the evening.
The public will be able to discover:
- En fanfare on July 11;
- Ma mère, Dieu et Sylvie Vartan on August 7.
Held outdoors, these screenings promise a friendly experience, ideal for enjoying summer nights by the lake.
July 14 and local traditions on the program
The summer of Nernier will also be marked by several popular highlights. The National Day will take over the port and the surroundings of the harbor master’s office with musical events, catering, and a festive atmosphere.
The evening will conclude with the July 14 fireworks offered by the municipality, a highly anticipated event for residents and visitors.
A few weeks later, on September 19, the agricultural heritage festival will close the summer season. This day will celebrate local traditions with demonstrations, activities, and an atmosphere reminiscent of festivals of yesteryear.
A Lake Geneva village that charms discreetly
Less frequented than some iconic Lake Geneva destinations, Nernier retains an authentic charm that attracts many visitors. Its flowered alleys, small port, and stone houses offer an ideal setting for summer strolls.
