On Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, 2026, the Clairière des Lanches in Cervens will once again resonate with the sound of guitars. The Lunaris Festival returns for its third edition with eight bands, a creators’ market, activities for children, and a deliberately intimate atmosphere. An original musical event to discover between Lake Geneva and the mountains.
The Lunaris Festival returns to Cervens on August 21 and 22
A few kilometers from Thonon-les-Bains, Cervens is preparing to host the third edition of the Lunaris Festival. Organized by the local association La Rioule, the event will take place on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, 2026 in the Clairière des Lanches, a wooded area that fully contributes to the festival’s identity.
Here, no stage is set up in the middle of a huge parking lot or a crowd of several thousand people. Lunaris, on the contrary, claims a more confidential atmosphere, with outdoor music, local creators, and a friendly spirit.
The lineup is mainly rooted in rock, but explores different influences: psychedelic rock, garage punk, heavy soul, indie rock, dream pop, and post-krautrock.
A very rock opening night on Friday, August 21
The doors will open Friday, August 21 at 5 p.m., with an evening that will continue until 1 a.m.
Four acts are announced:
- Mialhys, with its psychedelic rock universe;
- Eyes Shaker, between wild boogie and heavy soul;
- Margaret Tchatcheuse, who will perform French-sung garage punk;
- Fomies, a Swiss band evolving in a heavy psych and hypnotic fuzz universe.
A first evening that should therefore appeal to guitar fans and lovers of psychedelic sounds, with a lineup that gives a large place to bands from the French and Swiss independent scenes.
Four new bands and a Kids Show on Saturday
The festival will resume Saturday, August 22 from 3:30 p.m., for a second day that will also continue until 1 a.m.
The lineup will be particularly eclectic with:
- Amy Ellen, between dream pop and indie rock;
- Superdark, a Swiss band with post-krautrock influences;
- La Flemme, with a mix of garage pop and psychedelia;
- Avee Mana, for an extra dose of raw psychedelic rock.
A Kids Show is also announced for this second day.
In total, there will be eight bands performing over the two days of the Lunaris Festival 2026.
A festival designed with families in mind
One of Lunaris’s particularities is that it’s not limited to concerts. The event also aims to be family-friendly and intergenerational.
A space specially arranged for children, the Kids Corner, will allow the little ones to enjoy the festival as well. Games, costumes, eco-friendly face painting, and spaces adapted to their size are especially announced. Syrups will also be offered free of charge.
This allows parents to discover the festival without necessarily having to arrange childcare, especially during Saturday afternoon.
A creators’ market in the middle of the festival
Another important component of the event: its market of creators and artisans.
The goal is to give visibility to local artisans and creators while offering visitors something other than the traditional merchandising stands found at large festivals.
All this is part of a local approach upheld by the organizers. Lunaris notably announces a zero plastic policy as well as a cuisine calling on local products. Refreshments and catering will be available directly on site.
A fireworks display should also be launched on Saturday night
This 2026 edition should hold another surprise for visitors. The fireworks originally planned in Cervens on July 11 had to be canceled due to the high fire risk caused by drought and heatwave.
The town hall then announced its postponement to Saturday, August 22, during the Lunaris Festival.
Provided, of course, that conditions allow it to be maintained, the public could thus enjoy the fireworks in addition to the concerts during the second evening.
A festival that bets on a different way to celebrate
In a Haute-Savoie summer particularly rich in major events, Lunaris plays a different card.
Its main asset probably lies in its setting: a clearing surrounded by trees at the foot of the mountains, transformed for two days into a small musical village.
The La Rioule association, based in Cervens and made up of five permanent members, also relies on about thirty volunteers as well as various local supporters to organize the event.
This associative dimension helps to give the festival its artisanal and independent character.

An event to remember to end the summer with music
A few days before the end of August, the Lunaris Festival thus offers a great opportunity to enjoy a summer evening differently in Haute-Savoie.
Between indie rock, forest, artisans, family activities, and local catering, the event cultivates an identity very different from that of major festivals. On August 21 and 22, 2026, the small clearing in Cervens could well become one of the most unusual places in Chablais to end the summer with music.
