Mont Blanc Flight 4807

For this new edition of the Vol Mont-Blanc 4807 which will take place between Monday, September 04 and Sunday, September 10, 2006, depending on the weather, it celebrates its 20th anniversary! The Mont Blanc 4807 flight is the first and only para-alpinism event in the world.

Over 1 day, chosen according to the meteorological conditions, the competitors will set off for an ascent of Mont Blanc via the Aiguille du Midi, through the Mont-Blanc du Tacul and Mont Maudit.
Depending on the aerological conditions at the time, the takeoff will take place from the summit itself or a little lower. The landing will most likely be in the Mont Blanc plain, at Chedde.

For 20 years, the best mountaineers and paragliders have participated in this extraordinary adventure: Roger Fillon, Serge Tuaz, Boivin, Begain, Escoffier, Jacot … Intense moments of warm human relationships where the humility of each brings out true values: friendship, simplicity, happiness and joy of living, a lapse of time out of time.

As the creator and manager of this travel site dedicated to the region, I introduce you to places worth visiting in our beautiful department, along with unmissable tips and recommendations. I also share discoveries from further afield—such as Corsica, Italy, and the Arcachon Basin—based on my own travels. Having completed the state-certified mountain leader training course in the Pyrenees (back in 1996), I also aim to provide advice on how to enjoy the mountains safely and responsibly.
