Grand Craft Market – Saint-Jeoire-en-Faucigny
The craft market organized by La Poya de Mya, with over twenty years of existence, returns for a new friendly and festive edition. This year, around fifty local artisans and producers, chosen for the quality of their creations and their expertise, will be gathered on Saturday, May 2 from 11am to 8pm at the Saint-Jeoire-en-Faucigny gymnasium. Admission will be free.
During the two days, musical entertainment accessible to all will punctuate the event, featuring accordion, 80s atmosphere, and other festive surprises. On the gourmet side, Saturday will offer paninis, while Sunday will be marked by a large convivial tartiflette.
On Sunday, visitors can also admire a beautiful exhibition of vintage vehicles: tractors, vintage cars, fire trucks, mopeds, and other vintage mechanics. A creative workshop will complete the program.
Throughout the weekend, a big raffle, a crepe stand, a refreshment bar, and a warm atmosphere will be present. As every year, the event benefits from the support of the Saint-Jeoire-en-Faucigny municipality.

May 1 Fair – Seyssel
The May 1 Fair in Seyssel is an emblematic event, firmly rooted in local traditions. Counting among the oldest and most important events in the area, it attracts a large audience every year.
The livestock, true soul of the fair
This has long been Seyssel’s reputation. While many fairs have transformed into mainly commercial events, this one preserves a particularly lively livestock fair.
- Animal exhibition and sales: dairy and beef cattle, horses, donkeys, sheep, and goats are presented throughout the day.
- Backyard poultry area: a large section is dedicated to poultry, including breed chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, and ornamental birds. A place much appreciated by families and breeding enthusiasts alike.
- Agricultural equipment: the fair also hosts a large display of tractors, new or used, as well as various motorized gardening equipment.
A fair with many faces
- Street vendors: between 300 and 400 exhibitors set up in the city streets. Clothing, tools, accessories, leather goods, and everyday objects make up one of the largest open-air markets in the region.
