International Mountain Book Fair – Passy
From August 7 to 9, 2026, Passy hosts the 36th edition of the International Mountain Book Fair, one of the major cultural events of the summer in Haute-Savoie. Located on the Parvis des Fiz, facing the Mont-Blanc massif, the event gathers authors, illustrators, adventurers, and mountain enthusiasts.

17th Zik’en Ville Festival – La Roche sur Foron
Every summer, Zik’en Ville transforms the squares and streets of La Roche-sur-Foron into true open-air stages. Rock, jazz, chanson, world music, or family shows: the programming is eclectic to appeal to a wide audience, from music lovers to the simply curious.
On Friday, August 7, 2026, the festival will welcome Le Cirque Pepin with its show Maybe…, a poetic and musical creation accessible to all.
The show tells the story of a character who has never left their universe and feels no need to discover the world. Marlens Pond Festival – Marlens
On Saturday, August 8, 2026, the Marlens pond, in Val de Chaise, will be the scene of a big day of festivities open to all. In a particularly pleasant natural setting, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy activities, a popular dance, refreshment stalls, and a spectacular fireworks show to close the evening.
The festivities will start in the afternoon with the Black Pearl Challenge, a friendly event bringing crews together around various competitions. After the awards ceremony, the party will continue in the evening with a warm atmosphere by the water, before the traditional fireworks.

Trail des Hauts-Forts Morzine Avoriaz
On Saturday, August 8, 2026, the Trail des Hauts-Forts returns to Morzine-Avoriaz for its 19th edition. This must-attend mountain trail event offers four routes through the spectacular landscapes of the Portes du Soleil.
Participants can choose between the Trail des Hauts-Forts (50 km), the Trail du Fornet (40 km), the Trail des Mines d’Or (23 km), or the Smugglers’ Relays (22 and 28 km). All events are listed on the ITRA calendar and offer qualifying points for the UTMB World Series.

One of the highlights of the day will be the lumberjack competition, starting at 3:00 pm. Participants will compete in three events combining strength, precision, and technique, before a grand final scheduled around 5:00 pm.
