Avoriaz is about to vibrate to the rhythm of dance with the return of the Avoriaz Dance Festival, which will celebrate its 16th edition from August 22 to 28, 2026. For one week, the Portes du Soleil resort will welcome thousands of enthusiasts from all over France and abroad to share their passion alongside international teachers and artists. With more than 70 classes per day, festive evenings, shows, and a major novelty dedicated to solo dances, this 2026 edition promises to be one of the most ambitious in its history.
An unmissable event for dance lovers
Since its creation, the Avoriaz Dance Festival has established itself as one of the largest mountain dance festivals. Its concept appeals equally to beginners and experienced dancers: offering a full week of learning, practice, and shows in an exceptional setting, at nearly 1,800 meters altitude.
Throughout the week, participants will be able to alternate technical classes, workshops, dance evenings, and demonstrations in a friendly atmosphere where meeting and sharing play a central role.
An even richer program in 2026
This year, the festival takes a new step with a particularly extensive program. Participants will have access to more than 70 daily classes, spread across several levels – beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert – and led by more than 50 international teachers. The evenings will be animated by 9 DJs, while shows will punctuate each day.
The offered disciplines cover a wide range of styles:
- Salsa
- Bachata
- Kizomba
- Rock
- West Coast Swing
- Argentine Tango
- Ballroom dances
- Urban dances
Classes are organized under several tents specially set up in the heart of the resort to offer optimal conditions to participants.
The great novelty: a space entirely dedicated to solo dances
The 2026 edition innovates with the creation of a 100% dedicated solo dance space. Enthusiasts of Hip-Hop, Commercial Dance, Heels, or Afro will be able to attend specific workshops led by renowned artists such as Loan, Kryss Léo, Wasaodilon, Anna, and other international guests.
This space has been designed to allow everyone to progress individually, develop their artistic expression, and discover new styles in a dynamic and accessible atmosphere for all.
A festival open to all ages
One of the strengths of this edition is its openness to all audiences. Specific workshops will be offered:
- to children aged 6 to 9;
- to youth aged 9 to 11;
- to adults of all levels;
- to seniors, with courses adapted both for partner dances and solo dances.
Beginner and intermediate classes will be offered in double sessions to allow the maximum number of participants to benefit.
Festive evenings until late at night
Each evening, dancers will be able to practice the day’s learning during large themed evenings organized within the resort.
On the program:
- Salsa, bachata, and kizomba evenings;
- rock balls and evenings;
- urban animations;
- teachers’ shows;
- demonstrations by the best international couples and dancers.
The evenings will start at 10 p.m. and continue until 1 a.m., or even 2 a.m. during major show evenings.
A village entirely focused on dance
Throughout the week, the heart of Avoriaz will live to the rhythm of the festival.
The Central Forum will host solo dance demonstrations and several free shows, while a terrace arranged between different spaces will allow participants to meet between classes.
Visitors will also find Danse Boutique, the official partner of the event, as well as the French Dance Federation (FFDanse), which has supported the festival for several editions.
Registrations already open
Registrations have been open since February with several pricing levels depending on the booking date.
Participants can choose:
- a 1-day pass;
- a 3-day pass;
- a week pass;
- a specific pass from Wednesday to Friday.
Preferential rates are also offered to couples. All passes include classes and evenings; accommodation must be booked separately.
