On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Fillinges will once again vibrate to the rhythm of the Saint-Laurent Fair, an unmissable event that attracts several thousand visitors every summer. A true village festival, this event highlights the agricultural world, local producers, artisans, and Savoyard traditions in a friendly and family atmosphere.
At the heart of the event, the traditional livestock fair will allow the public to admire many animals: cows, horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, sheep, poultry, and many more. Visitors will also have the opportunity to interact with passionate farmers, happy to share their profession and expertise.
Among the new features of this edition, the Totems Farm, a traveling mini educational farm, will introduce both children and adults to the world of farm animals. A workshop titled “From Sheep to Ball of Wool” will explain all the steps of wool transformation, from shearing sheep to making everyday objects.
Activities throughout the day
The Saint-Laurent Fair is not limited to the agricultural world. Numerous activities will punctuate the day with the humorous strolls of the Refreshs Brothers, two juggling gardeners who will surprise visitors along the paths.
Children will also enjoy balloon sculptures created by Magic Tom, who will also offer a close-up magic show in the evening. Art enthusiasts will be able to attend an impressive demonstration of chainsaw wood carving, performed live by Jérôme Demiet.
The best of crafts and local products
As every year, several dozen exhibitors will fill the streets of Fillinges. Craftsmen, creators, local and regional producers will offer their specialties: local products, jewelry, decorative objects, handcrafted creations, and demonstrations of traditional trades.
Throughout the day, village associations will provide catering and refreshment stands. About ten Fillinges associations actively participate in organizing this great festival, contributing to its warm atmosphere and success.
