The Chamonix Film Festival returns from June 10 to 14, 2026 at the foot of Mont-Blanc

Spectacular mountain films, open-air screenings, meetings with adventurers, and debates about the alpine world… The Chamonix Film Festival will make its grand return from June 10 to 14, 2026, for a 6th edition already announced as one of the cultural highlights of the year in the Chamonix valley.

The unmissable event of mountain cinema

For five days, the world capital of mountaineering will vibrate to the rhythm of screenings, exchanges, and adventure stories from all over the world. The festival will highlight the best mountain and exploration films of the year, with a selection mixing mountaineering, expeditions, climbing, environment, and wide open spaces.

The main screenings will take place at the famous Cinéma Vox, in the very heart of Chamonix, while several activities and meetings will complement the program throughout the festival.

Open-air screenings and meetings with enthusiasts

Beyond the cinema sessions, the Chamonix Film Festival will also offer round tables, immersive workshops, literary meetings, autograph sessions, and exchanges with directors, athletes, and figures from the mountain world.

The public will also be able to enjoy free open-air screenings organized at Parc Couttet on Friday and Saturday evenings, in a unique atmosphere facing the summits of the Mont Blanc massif.

A 2026 edition under the sign of glaciers

This year, the festival’s visual identity highlights the Mer de Glace with a spectacular photograph taken at the heart of a natural ice cave in Chamonix. A powerful image that illustrates both the fragile beauty of glaciers and the spirit of adventure that characterizes the festival.
