An exceptional garden at the foot of Mont-Blanc
Located on the Assy plateau, the Jardin des Cimes extends over nearly three hectares with, as a backdrop, one of the most beautiful views of the Mont-Blanc massif. Designed to bring life back to this emblematic area of Passy, it offers much more than a simple botanical stroll.
The route invites visitors to travel through different atmospheres inspired by the world’s mountains. Alpine gardens, food-growing areas, aromatic plants, species from other massifs… each stage tells a story where nature converses with contemporary art and the mountain.

The Jardin des Cimes recently joined the very exclusive circle of sites labeled “Remarkable Garden” by the Ministry of Culture. This national label distinguishes gardens presenting exceptional interest from botanical, landscape, cultural, or historical perspectives. It is awarded for a renewable period of five years following an examination by specialists.
This recognition makes the Jardin des Cimes one of the rare sites in Haute-Savoie to benefit from this distinction, confirming its importance within French landscape heritage.
A sensory walk for the whole family
The visit lasts about an hour and alternates botanical discoveries, artistic installations, and contemplative spaces. The route is punctuated by themed gardens where visitors can observe plants from various mountain massifs, smell aromatic essences, discover vegetable crops, or simply enjoy the peacefulness of the place.

A terrace with one of the most beautiful views of Mont-Blanc

In good weather, the spectacle is simply exceptional, especially in the early morning or late afternoon when the light illuminates the glaciers.

My advice: come right at opening time, especially in summer. You will enjoy a much quieter visit, ideal light on Mont-Blanc, and more pleasant temperatures before the afternoon crowd arrives.
