After an initial summer meeting in July, Le Champ des Platines will make its grand return on Saturday, September 5, 2026 in La Clusaz. For this 7th season, this unusual event invites the public to experience music in the heart of the mountains, on an alpine pasture transformed into a temporary dancefloor. On the program: several hours of electronic music, a friendly atmosphere, and an exceptional natural setting, with the Aravis peaks as a backdrop.
A unique concept in the heart of the alpine pastures
For several years, Le Champ des Platines has established itself as one of the most original events at the end of summer in La Clusaz. The principle is simple: set up turntables and a stage in the middle of an alpine pasture to offer a festive moment, far from traditional concert halls.
Here, no barriers or big artifices. Festival-goers enjoy an afternoon of electronic music in a preserved environment, where nature is an integral part of the show. This blend of alpine landscapes and electro culture attracts an increasingly large audience each year.
Five hours of music in the heart of the mountains
For this new edition, several DJs will take turns behind the decks to offer five hours of uninterrupted music.
Artists from the regional and national electronic scene will present an eclectic lineup, mixing house, melodic techno, disco, and festive electronic music. The goal remains unchanged: to create a friendly atmosphere where everyone can come to dance, relax, or simply enjoy the exceptional setting offered by the alpine pastures of La Clusaz.
A celebration focused on respect for the mountain
The originality of Le Champ des Platines also lies in its commitment to the environment.
The organizers remind attendees of several rules aimed at preserving the site:
- everyone is invited to leave with their waste;
- dogs are allowed if kept on a leash;
- toilets are installed on site to preserve the alpine pasture;
- drinks are served in ecocups (to bring or buy on site).
This approach limits the event’s impact while maintaining the friendly spirit that has made it successful since its inception.
A warm atmosphere at sunset
One of the great strengths of Le Champ des Platines is its setting. Throughout the afternoon, festival-goers enjoy the late-day light over the Aravis before dancing at sunset.
Food areas and a bar will be set up on site to allow visitors to extend the experience in a relaxed atmosphere. The event favors simplicity and closeness, making the audience a real part of this festive day in the mountains.
An event that has become unmissable in La Clusaz
In just a few years, Le Champ des Platines has become a highly anticipated date in La Clusaz’s summer program.
It complements an already busy season of activities, alongside the Fête du Reblochon, the Bélier Trail & Rando, and the Foire de la Croix. Its original format and free access attract both locals and holidaymakers seeking a different experience in the heart of the Alps.
