On August 15 and 16, 2026, Avoriaz will host the very first edition of Avoriaz Street Lines, a new event entirely dedicated to mountain biking. Designed as a spectacular and accessible festival for all, it will transform the pedestrian streets of the resort into a huge playground where competitions, freestyle demonstrations, and activities for the whole family will come together. Between wooden modules, technical passages, and natural trails, this unprecedented event promises two days full of thrills.
A unique concept in the heart of Avoriaz
With Street Lines, Avoriaz further enriches its summer calendar dedicated to outdoor sports. Unlike traditional downhill competitions held in the mountains, the event will take place directly in the heart of the pedestrian resort.
Riders will navigate a specially designed course combining streets, stairs, wooden modules, artificial obstacles, and sections of natural trails. The goal is to offer a continuous show, both for participants and the many spectators expected over the weekend.
Three events for all skill levels
The festival has been designed to allow everyone to participate, regardless of their level.
An urban endurance race
Teams and solo riders will compete in an endurance race on an original circuit crossing the streets of Avoriaz. Technique, re-acceleration, obstacles, and strategy will be on the agenda.
A spectacular Freestyle Line
The best riders will perform tricks, jumps, and maneuvers on a specially designed line. This freestyle demonstration will be one of the weekend’s highlights, featuring top-level performances meant to impress the audience.
A mini urban race open to all
Both children and adults will also be able to take part in an accessible mini-race, designed to introduce urban mountain biking in a friendly atmosphere. A balance bike race will even be organized for the youngest, with equipment provided on site.
A family-friendly and festive event
Avoriaz Street Lines is not just for competitors.
Throughout the two days, visitors will be able to enjoy numerous activities, watch professional riders’ demonstrations, and discover a discipline still little represented in the mountains.
Thanks to Avoriaz’s pedestrian nature, the different areas will be easily accessible on foot, allowing the public to follow the events up close. The event has been designed as a true bike celebration, in a friendly atmosphere accessible to all generations.
A weekend of celebration in Avoriaz
The festival will take place over the weekend of August 15, traditionally very lively in the resort.
The festivities will continue in the evening with the August 15 fireworks, followed by a DJ party held right in the heart of Avoriaz. The perfect way to extend the experience after the competitions in a festive atmosphere.
A new benchmark for mountain biking in the Portes du Soleil
Already renowned for its bike parks and vast mountain biking domain, Avoriaz confirms its desire to develop cycling-related events.
Street Lines complements an already rich summer schedule, alongside the Trail des Hauts-Forts, the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup at Les Gets, and the Avoriaz Dance Festival. This new event highlights a more playful and spectacular practice of mountain biking, right in the heart of the resort.
