Skis, snowboards, boots, helmets, or technical clothing: these events are the perfect opportunity to gear up without emptying your wallet. And, let’s be honest, there is always that little pleasure of finding a nearly new pair for just a few dozen euros…
What is a ski exchange?
A ski exchange is primarily a temporary market where individuals, sports associations, and sometimes even specialized stores offer second-hand sliding equipment. You can find alpine skis, snowboards, boots, but also poles, helmets, gloves, or jackets. The idea is simple: to give a second life to equipment still in good condition, at prices much more affordable than new ones. For some, it’s an opportunity to renew their gear each season; for others, a first gateway into the mountain world without breaking the bank. The atmosphere is friendly, almost festive, often with advice given by instructors or passionate volunteers.
Why participate in a 2026 ski exchange in Haute-Savoie?

- Date : September 26 and 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Location : Multipurpose room of Verchaix
- Description : Probably the first ski exchange of the season in Haute-Savoie.
Taninges
- Date : October 10 and 11, 2026
- Location : Taninges community hall
- Description : Ski exchange with clothing, equipment, and winter sports accessories organized by the Taninges Alpine Ski Club – Praz de Lys.
- Drop-off: Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sale: Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Check and unsold item retrieval: Sunday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saint-Julien-en-Genevois
- Date : October 10 and 11, 2026
- Location : Sports Hall – 1 rue du Léman in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois
- Description : One of the first major ski exchanges in the region: Sale of second-hand equipment from individuals • Drop-off for individuals starting Friday, October 9 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, October 11 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. • For sale: Alpine and Touring Skis, Surf, Boots, Poles, and accessories (gloves, helmets, hats, clothing, etc.)
Marignier
- Date : October 17 and 18, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Location : Marignier Animation Space, 262 avenue du stade, 74970 Marignier
- Description : One of the largest and most popular ski exchanges in Haute Savoie. A must-attend event for ski and mountain enthusiasts. All mountain equipment: cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, snowshoes, mountain gear…
Annecy *

- Location : Boulodrome, boulevard du Fier
- Description : The Annecy Ski Club organizes its traditional ski exchange at the end of October 2026 at the Boulodrome in Annecy. This exchange offers second-hand equipment in very good condition. It is ideal for small budgets and those looking to renew their gear. Drop-off (€2 per item) will be Saturday morning, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The sale will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Unsold items can be picked up from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Publier Amphion *
