Two new starred restaurants in Haute-Savoie: local gastronomy in the spotlight in 2026

Haute-Savoie once again confirms its status as a must-visit gastronomic destination. On the occasion of the publication of the Michelin Guide 2026, two establishments in the department have just earned their very first star, recognizing the talent of passionate chefs and the excellence of local products.

An announcement that further strengthens the culinary appeal of the territory, already renowned for its exceptional tables between lake and mountains.

Two new stars shining in Haute-Savoie

The 2026 edition of the famous red guide highlights two Haute-Savoie restaurants joining the highly coveted circle of starred establishments.

Le Chalet Flachaire in Abondance

Located in the Abondance valley, the Chalet Flachaire has earned its first Michelin star. This intimate restaurant, led by chef Thomas Flachaire, captivates with a modern, sensitive cuisine deeply rooted in local terroir.

Set in a renovated chalet, the establishment offers a culinary experience around a unique menu, highlighting seasonal products often sourced from short supply chains. The plates play on subtle flavors, between smoky, fruity, and tangy notes, in a very contemporary spirit.

This distinction marks a major milestone for this young restaurateur couple, already noted for their committed and refined approach.

A new starred table in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains

The second pleasant surprise of this 2026 vintage: a restaurant located in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains also obtains its first star.

This award recognizes demanding work around revisited mountain cuisine, blending creativity, technique, and enhancement of local products. It also confirms the rising prominence of this Mont-Blanc destination on the gastronomic scene.

Recognition for an entire territory

With these two new stars, Haute-Savoie continues to strengthen its image as a prime Alpine gastronomic destination. The department already counts several prestigious tables, ranging from double-starred restaurants to establishments committed to sustainable and local cuisine.

This dynamic reflects a strong trend:
👉 a return to local products
👉 a more responsible cuisine
👉 and a new generation of creative chefs

A destination that also seduces gourmets

Between Annecy, Megève, Chamonix or even more discreet valleys like Abondance, Haute-Savoie attracts an increasingly broad clientele, in search of unique culinary experiences.

The arrival of these two new starred tables only reinforces this attractiveness, offering visitors an exceptional gastronomic diversity, from revisited bistro to haute cuisine.

A 2026 edition full of promises

The Michelin Guide 2026 confirms one thing: Haute-Savoie has never been so dynamic gastronomically.

Between promising young talents and established chefs, the territory continues to reinvent itself while remaining true to its Alpine identity.
