Haute Savoie, skiing paradise?

Haute Savoie, in addition to bringing together four major ski areas (Grand Massif, Portes du Soleil, Mont Blanc, and Aravis), offers a multitude of small or medium ski resorts. Whether you are looking for challenging skiing, family skiing, untouched powder zones, or luxury skiing, you will find the ski resort that suits you. The most well-known of our resorts are of course Chamonix, Avoriaz, Megève, Samoens, La Clusaz… but many others exist and offer you a very pleasant skiing experience.

Of course, the average altitude of the Haute Savoie ski resorts is not among the highest, somewhat less than those of neighboring Savoie, but diversity is key.

Lovers of challenging skiing, you will be seduced by Chamonix with its Vallée Blanche from the Aiguille du Midi, but especially by Argentière with the “runs” of the Grands Montets (marked but ungroomed, and partly on glacier). Guaranteed great skiing, but at a high price and sometimes a discouraging crowd (especially the second section of the Grands Montets and the Aiguille du Midi).

Lovers of relaxed skiing will not be left out with village-style resorts such as La Clusaz, Les Gets – Morzine, Le Grand Bornand, Samoens… and many others, the choice is wide in this type of resort. Resorts that know how to combine the pleasure of skiing with very interesting and quite extensive ski areas, and the warmth of a mountain village.

In short, you’ve understood, there are ski resorts for all tastes in Haute Savoie, come and discover them quickly
