Detailed itinerary

1. Annecy → Sévrier (5 km)

Departure from Annecy, the “Venice of the Alps,” along the lake shores towards Sévrier. This section is fully developed as a cycle path and offers a breathtaking view of the mountains. Passing along the gardens of Europe and Pâquier is a perfect introduction to the ride, with an unobstructed view of the lake and surrounding peaks.

2. Sévrier → Duingt (10 km)

Crossing Saint-Jorioz, you will find an alternation of wooded areas and open meadows, providing a varied and pleasant route. The stop at Saint-Jorioz beach is ideal for enjoying a relaxing moment by the water. In Duingt, you can admire its iconic castle, located on a rocky peninsula and offering a spectacular view of the lake.

3. Duingt → Doussard (5 km)

This segment marks the transition to the southern end of the lake, where nature is wilder. The Bout du Lac natural reserve is a protected site offering rich fauna and flora, with the possibility of observing water birds and beavers. A stop here is a great opportunity to reconnect with nature.

4. Doussard → Talloires (10 km)

This section is more demanding, marked by some climbs, notably the Talloires hill. However, the effort is well rewarded by breathtaking panoramas of the lake and surrounding mountains. Talloires is a picturesque village with a rich history and several lakeside restaurants, perfect for a gourmet break. Swimming enthusiasts can enjoy Talloires beach, one of the most beautiful on the lake.

5. Talloires → Annecy (10 km)

The return to Annecy is on a road shared with cars. This part requires more vigilance, but it offers magnificent viewpoints over the lake. You will pass through Menthon-Saint-Bernard, where you can admire its medieval castle dominating the landscape. The descent to Annecy is pleasant and marks the end of this spectacular loop.
