Today we take you for a walk in a pleasant and easily accessible place for little walkers and children.
We don’t necessarily want to do a long hike so we chose this place because it is simple with a very nice view.
The Agy plateau is located at 1459 m altitude above St-Sigismond. Our starting point is Arâches-La-Frasse. We therefore head towards Taninges. The small road giving access to the Agy plateau is located a few meters after the church, just on your right.

As you can see the path is easily passable. Note that vehicles can circulate there in summer so it is necessary to be vigilant with children.
You will notice that various paths start from everywhere, so it is advisable to stay on the main path. Your return will be along the same path. It’s a good way not to get lost and to enjoy a relaxing walk.
This hike offers a nice panorama of the Arve and Giffre valleys. In summer you can even pick raspberries and blackberries. Perfect for preparing a good snack on the way back!

Note that in winter this hike can be done with snowshoes taking care to respect the cross-country ski track.
