Hike to Lac Bénit (Mont-Saxonnex)

Today we are taking you on a beautiful hike suitable for little walkers as well as children. Our goal: lac Bénit. Experienced hikers can continue the hike. We start from the Bété parking lot where an approximate time of 1h15 is indicated. Take your time, hiking is above all the pleasure of discovering nature and enjoying breathtaking landscapes.

Backpack reminder: good shoes, poles (they can help!), suitable clothing, the backpack contains a picnic, enough water, first aid kit, jacket, hat, sunscreen, phone (even if the network is unavailable in some places, it’s still good to have it with you).

On the way. The hike starts with a passage through the woods, with small climbs but nothing insurmountable.

At the exit of the woods, you can discover some cows with a gentle background sound: the sound of mountain bells! Not to mention a superb view in the background!

We continue our advance at our own pace enjoying nature and this pure air. We stop to observe this beautiful view. We savor it and then resume our journey.

We are here, we are in front of a lake with one word on our lips: WOW! We let you get an idea!

Note that a refreshment stand welcomes us. Our motto is “after effort comes comfort!” Don’t you agree? We choose a little shaded spot to have a well-deserved picnic. We remind you that waste must be carried out to respect this incredible nature.

Some guests!

We decide to walk around the lake. A few tricky passages (mud) should be noted depending on the weather of the previous days. Another photo of the lake?

Before leaving this magical place where an impressive calm reigns and where the smell of fir is particularly pleasant, it is appropriate to look up to observe what surrounds us… Nature is impressive…

We need to start the descent and leave this beautiful place. We will come back in Autumn to discover different colors.
