For the weekend of March 21 and 22, 2026, Haute-Savoie offers a rich program of festivities, sports events, and cultural activities. Here is a small selection of events and activities not to be missed :

Glisse en Cœur – Le Grand Bornand
Glisse en Cœur is the major solidarity event of the French mountains. For 16 editions, this event combining ski, music, and solidarity has raised nearly 5.5 million euros to support numerous associations.
The principle: teams of skiers take turns for 24 hours nonstop on the same slope while conducting a fundraising race launched several months earlier. The event is also paced by concerts and activities, including notably Feder and the show Là-Bas – 100% Goldman for the 2026 edition.
This year, the funds will mainly be donated to Ma Chance Moi Aussi, which helps children from vulnerable backgrounds succeed in their academic and personal journeys. The event will also support several partner associations.
Beyond the athletic performance, Glisse en Cœur aims to mobilize the public around a great human, festive, and solidarity adventure, with the goal in 2026 to bring together 170 teams and break the donation record set in previous editions.
On the program:
- Friday, March 20: charity dinner “Guinguette à la française” at the Espace Grand-Bo, with service for more than 500 covers.
- Saturday, March 21: solidarity concerts in the Charmieux snow front, free seating, with continuous programming until 1 a.m..
- Sunday, March 22: two free musical meetings at the Charmieux snow front, from late morning to early afternoon.

Back to Back Invitational – Megève
In Megève, the Back To Back Invitational transforms the resort for a weekend into a spectacular meeting mixing freestyle skiing and electronic music. The event offers an impressive aerial show with ski base jump, speedriding, and wingsuit performances, alongside a freestyle competition gathering international riders on a specially arranged snowpark.
Open to all, the festival also offers many activities: Côte 2000 pass at a reduced price, brand village, banked slalom accessible to the public and free broadcasting at the snow front. The weekend continues with music with an opening night animated by DJ Pablo Bozzi, a rising star of the Italo Disco scene.

Meet the competitors in biathlon and cross-country skiing events during these French disabled sports championships. A national meeting gathering the French elite of paralympic disciplines.

Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration – Thorens Glières
On the occasion of Saint Patrick’s Day, come and celebrate this emblematic Irish holiday. On the program: beer, music, and a jovial atmosphere to share a warm moment with friends or family. Light catering will be offered on site. Event canceled in case of bad weather.

Saturday, March 21
Annecy Carnival: Journey Through Time
The Annecy Carnival 2026, themed “Journey Through Time”, offers a festive and family afternoon. From 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., a carnival village set up on rue du Lac offers musical activities, games, creative workshops, face painting, photobooths, and activities around dinosaurs, as well as a refreshment stand run by parents’ associations.
At 3:30 p.m., the grand parade sets off from Notre-Dame-de-Liesse square to parade through the old town, accompanied by a batucada, giant puppets, and stilt walkers. The parade concludes around 5 p.m. on the square for a final celebration lasting until 5:30 p.m..

Snowboxx Avoriaz Festival 2026

Rock the Pistes 2026 – Les Portes du Soleil
From March 15 to 21, 2026, winter takes on a whole new dimension in the Alps with the highly anticipated return of the Rock the Pistes festival. For a week, the summits of the Portes du Soleil become a huge open-air stage where skiing meets live music in a spectacular setting.

La Menthonnaise – Menthon-Saint-Bernard
La Menthonnaise returns to Menthon-Saint-Bernard on March 22, 2026 for its 9th edition, combining sport, nature and solidarity. This friendly event supports the fight against breast cancer alongside the Comité Féminin 74.
Accessible to all, the event offers several formats: an individual trail of 8 km or 17 km as well as an 8 km nature walk. Whether participating to meet a sporting challenge, share a friendly moment or support an important cause, La Menthonnaise is above all a committed meeting in the heart of an exceptional natural setting.
