As the year 2025 comes to an end, the towns, villages, and resorts of Haute-Savoie prepare to celebrate the arrival of the new year with sparkling lights. The fireworks, essential during New Year’s Eve, offer a breathtaking show that gathers an impressive crowd every year. But where can you admire these bursts of color?
Les Carroz: To celebrate the new year, it all happens in the Ambiance square! Enjoy a concert and a fireworks display in the mountains.
- 5:30 PM to 7 PM: WARM UP
- 7:15 PM: Fireworks (visible from the school courtyard)
- 10 PM – 2 AM: Party with DJ Noisy – Refreshment stand
Praz de Lys: The resort invites you to experience an exceptional end of day for the new year’s arrival! From 4 PM, festivities begin with the New Year’s brass band followed by the magic of a torchlight descent. Finally, we will end beautifully with a grand fireworks display to celebrate the arrival of 2026 together. Location: Chevaly Snowfront
Sommand: Come and take part in an exceptional end of day to welcome the new year in Sommand! Starting at 5:30 PM, festivities will begin with a torchlight descent followed by the magic of a fire show, and finally a grand fireworks display to celebrate the arrival of 2026 together.
Le Grand-bornand: Live music evening with our DJ and fireworks, here is the explosive – and surprising – cocktail for your New Year’s Eve. Location: Le Grand-Bornand Village
On the program:
- 6:30 PM: children’s party for young and old with current music,
- 8 PM: live music evening with DJ, come celebrate the new year in music and good spirits,
- Midnight: fireworks,
- 4 AM: end of the New Year’s Eve party.
Abondance: In the heart of the village of Abondance, come celebrate the arrival of the new year in a warm and festive atmosphere! From 4:30 PM to 8 PM, the Abondance resort celebrates the new year: Music, mulled wine, hot chocolate, torchlight descent, and grand fireworks (from 7 PM) are on the program to start the New Year’s Eve celebration. Location: Abondance Square
La Chapelle-d’Abondance: New Year’s Eve party: Torchlight walk, concert, and fireworks. Celebrate the arrival of New Year’s Eve: torchlight walk, concert, fireworks, and complimentary hot drinks are on the program. The torchlight walk will start at 6 PM at the junction between the main road (route des Frasses) and the Rys road. It will head towards the village center, reaching the communal school parking lot. Then a fireworks display will take place at 7 PM.
Chatel: New Year’s Eve gathering. The Chatel resort invites you to the church square from 7 PM to celebrate the new year together, with live music and complimentary hot drinks … and of course, a magnificent fireworks display at 8 PM!
Thollon-les-Mémises: Come celebrate the arrival of the new year, with on the program luminous walks, DJ, torchlight descent, activities, and fireworks (from 7:30 PM).
Avoriaz: Celebrate the New Year in Avoriaz! To rightfully celebrate the arrival of a new year, the resort offers 3 festive spots with 3 different DJs, from 7 PM until 1 AM. End 2025 in style and start 2026 with the best dancefloor sound and a fireworks display at midnight in the heart of the resort! The Prodains Cable Car will be open until 12:30 AM on the 31st! Two shuttles will run between Prodains and Morzine throughout the evening, until the cable car closes.
Les Gets: To celebrate the arrival of the new year 2026, Les Gets resort prepares an evening full of color! At the dawn of a new year, what better than gathering with family and loved ones for a warm and festive evening? During après-ski time, we offer a concert for the whole family to burn off energy on the snow dancefloor, followed by a DJ set for everyone! A Champagne and Champomy bar will also be available to toast together to this promising new year… At 6 PM, we will start the countdown to the fireworks that will light up the village with colors, in a magical and enchanting atmosphere!
