As Christmas approaches quickly, several cities, villages, and resorts of Haute-Savoie immerse you in the Christmas spirit with their events and their fireworks, best enjoyed with a good mulled wine! Well, for big kids only, mulled wine of course!
Sommand : Show “Not even scared of Santa Claus” from 4:30 p.m. in Sommand, followed by a hot drinks service accompanied by Santa Claus (who was at Praz de Lys in the afternoon!) and who will attend with you the closing of this day with a fireworks display!
Praz de Lys : Santa Claus himself and the enchanted reindeer will be on the Chevaly snow front from 3 p.m. for young and old alike. The day will end with the Torchlight descent and fireworks! Merry Christmas to all.
Thollon-les-Mémises : Welcome Santa Claus accompanied by a donkey from the Gentianes Farm, watch the torchlight descent, and end the evening with a magical fireworks display to celebrate the holidays. From 4:45 p.m.
Avoriaz : The village of Avoriaz is bedecked with a thousand lights. A magical atmosphere will surround you for Christmas: building snowmen, roasted chestnuts, etc. Attend the wonderful Christmas show, punctuated by a splendid fireworks display! The Christmas Show starts at 6:15 p.m. on the Dromonts slope.
Saint-Jean-d’Aulps : Come celebrate Christmas Eve at the resort! Enjoy a delicious mulled wine/hot chocolate at the welcome desk, discover the week’s events, and enjoy the beautiful fireworks at the foot of the slopes! December 24, 2025 at 6 p.m.
Morzine : Come share the magic of Christmas by warmly welcoming our guest of honor: Santa Claus! A magical parade, rich in colors and emotions, will accompany his arrival in the square. The evening will continue with a magnificent fireworks display, launched from the Pléney snow front and visible from the Tourist Office square. Wednesday, December 24, 2025 from 6:15 p.m.
Les Gets : As far as the marmots can remember, Santa Claus has always stopped at Les Gets to prepare his big tour… This year, before his great chimney round, Santa Claus will cross the village accompanied by his elves with an artistic parade.
On the program:
- 5 p.m.: Complimentary hot drinks: Please bring your cup, or on-site deposit cups at €1
- 5:30 p.m.: Santa Claus parade – departure from rue du centre
- 6:15 p.m.: Torchlight descent by ESF instructors
- 6:30 p.m.: Fireworks
