For over 25 years, the Grandes Médiévales d’Andilly have been one of Europe’s largest medieval festivals. Nestled in a forested estate spanning several hectares, these festivities meticulously recreate medieval life through grandiose shows, historical reenactments, and interactive activities.
On the program in 2025
The 2025 edition promises an even more breathtaking spectacle! Among the must-see activities:
- Knight tournaments: Watch spectacular equestrian jousts where valiant armored knights face off. Admire their steeds charging at full speed and thrill to the rhythm of epic battles.
- Combat and military demonstrations: Discover medieval combat techniques during realistic clashes between soldiers in period attire. Demonstrations include sword fighting, shield combat, and lined-up battle simulations.
- Medieval music and dance: Feel the rhythm of period instruments like the hurdy-gurdy, bagpipe, and lute. Costumed dance troupes will transport you to the festive atmosphere of medieval courts.
- Medieval market: Stroll among over 150 artisan stalls offering jewelry, costumes, fake weapons, and objects inspired by the Middle Ages. Meet blacksmiths, illuminators, and stonemasons who will reveal their ancestral skills.
- Banquets and taverns: Delight yourself with dishes inspired by ancient recipes, served in a warm atmosphere where troubadours and street performers entertain the tables.
- Falconry shows: Attend impressive demonstrations where eagles, falcons, and owls fly over the crowd and respond to their masters’ orders.
- Children’s activities: Numerous activities are planned for the youngest: calligraphy workshops, archery initiation, coat of arms making, and medieval tales will immerse them in the world of the Middle Ages.

📅 Dates: The Grandes Médiévales d’Andilly will take place on the weekends of May 31 and June 1 and June 7, 8, and 9, 2025.
📍 Location: The Domaine d’Andilly, near Annecy and Geneva. 374 Chemin du Grand Parc 74350 ANDILLY. Entry via the Moaï area at the Jussy exit from Annecy or the Jussy entrance from Saint Julien en Genevois/Geneva
🎟 Ticketing: Buy your tickets online to avoid waiting at the counters. Reduced rates for children and families. Tickets here
🚗 Access: Parking on site and shuttles available from nearby towns.
👗 Dress code: Why not wear a medieval costume to fully experience the event?
- Picnic allowed.
- Dogs and other animals NOT allowed even on a leash.
- For the evening/nighttime, bring warm clothes; note that any exit from the site is final after 9 p.m.
- Strollers admitted on-site
- Baby changing facilities available.

- Wear comfortable shoes to stroll through the estate’s paths in complete serenity.

Where to park?
There are 2 types of parking if you want to come to the Médiévales d’Andilly:
- The “Privilege” Parking, located just in front of the event entrance, is offered for 25€/day (limited places available directly on the ticketing site)
- All other parking lots are completely free and served by shuttles, which are also free.
- Handicapped parking nearby and free
- Parking reserved for coaches, then shuttles provided.
These free parking lots are mainly located at:
- Santa Claus Hamlet, Col du Mont Sion,
- Near the A41 motorway exit n°19 (Copponex) note this motorway exit is only accessible from Geneva. Coming from Annecy, exit n°18 (Allonzier la Caille) then head towards Geneva via RD 1201.
