The Boarder Line ignites La Clusaz this weekend: skiing, show, and electrifying atmosphere

This weekend of April 11 and 12, 2026, the La Clusaz resort switches to party mode with the return of the highly anticipated Boarder Line. An unmissable event at the end of the season, where skiing is experienced as much as a show as a competition… completely crazy.

A race like no other

Forget traditional cross-country skiing. Here, there is room for a concept as spectacular as it is original: a boarder cross… with cross-country skis. Amateurs and champions launch themselves on a technical course combining bumps, banked turns, and jumps, all in an electrifying atmosphere.

Organized by Team Farté, the Boarder Line gathers high-level skiers and enthusiasts each year to compete on a course as demanding as it is fun.

Once again this year, the lineup looks strong with the presence of many members of the French cross-country ski team… but also disguised participants ready to do whatever it takes to make an impression.

Sport… but above all a show

The Boarder Line is much more than just a race. It is a true show.

On and off the track, everything is designed for the audience:

  • spectacular falls and improbable overtakes
  • costume contest
  • award for the best trick
  • permanent festive atmosphere

Some awards reflect the quirky spirit of the event: this year, an unusual prize even promises… a year of burgers to the winner of a challenge!

A full weekend between skiing and partying

The festivities start on Saturday evening with a big party on the church square:

  • bib distribution in the presence of the athletes
  • concert and DJ set
  • festive atmosphere until late at night

On Sunday, it’s time for competition on the slopes:

  • free practice from 9:30 AM
  • qualifications late morning
  • final rounds starting at 12:30 PM
  • grand final mid-afternoon

The day ends with a giant après-ski featuring awards, concerts, and DJ sets, extending the atmosphere late into the evening.
