The Spectacles of Father Christmas – La Clusaz

For over 20 years, the La Clusaz resort has been inviting you to the « Pestacles du Père Noël », the largest street arts festival for families, organized in winter in the mountains.

From 12/23/2024 to 01/03/2025, during the end-of-year holidays, the municipality of La Clusaz invites young and old in the village to discover for free the magic and enchantment of Christmas in the heart of the Aravis. Throughout the festival, magicians, puppeteers, storytellers, jugglers, singers, musicians, artists, and dancers invite families to the center of the village to share unforgettable moments.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 23

ICE SHOW : Ice rink / 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM / Free / For all
The La Clusaz Sports Club invites you to its traditional ice show. Outfits, music, rhythm… All the ingredients will be present for a wonderful evening around the ice.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24

THE GREAT ARRIVAL OF SANTA CLAUS : Champ Giguet / 6 PM – 7 PM / Free / For all
Every year, La Clusaz reinvents its arrival of Santa Claus. This surprise, carefully prepared and secretly kept, will only be revealed to you on the big night! So, meet us at Champ Giguet to discover together the magical and enchanting arrival of the one that both young and old eagerly await!

CHRISTMAS MASSES AND LIVING NATIVITY : Church Square / 7 PM and 10 PM / Free / For all
Christmas celebration in the Church followed by a real living tableau staged by the La Clusaz Folkloric Group « Lou Socali ». First mass at 7 PM followed by the Living Nativity at 8 PM. Second mass at 10 PM.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 25

THE ELVES’ APRES-SKI : Church Square / 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM / Free / For all
It’s done, the gifts have been distributed, it’s time for the elves to party! They invite you to the church square to share a musical break accompanied by marshmallows to roast over the woodfire.

THE ZIMANEGE / CIE LES CRACOTTES (Savoie) : Church Square / 4:30 PM – 7 PM / Free / For all
Around the musico-burlesque ZImanège… Mr. and Mrs. Bonheur present their ecological carousel with parental propulsion. It will make the older ones pedal to amuse the little ones, with music and good humor! Magic bubbles, clowns, mischievous postmen, smooth-talking jugglers, we even met some cute Cro-Magnon men and the three wise men who lost their way. Come sing along with us.

Jonathan Mathis, composer, arranger, and punch card note maker, teams up with Lionel Rivière, conductor of the La Clusaz Harmony Orchestra and its 60 musicians to give birth to Harmonie Mécanique, the meeting of an orchestra and a barrel organ.

Instructors from the French Ski School of La Clusaz become artists for one evening. They take the stage showcasing all their talents in a ski show, accompanied by a big fireworks display and mulled wine, hot chocolate, and farmhouse reblochon!

Developed by a mad scientist, this machine that creates your portrait is made of recycled materials and consists of a multitude of mechanisms that creak, pendulate, and blink… In short, you won’t get bored!

  • THE TOY CHEST / MORPHOSE FLOW (France)
    Horses escaped from a dissonant carousel, a waltz of badly oiled mechanical dolls, annoying nutcrackers… A strange carousel and rock that shakes things up! The mission of these toys: conquer children’s hearts and awaken the memories of the grown-ups!
  • SPOUTNIK DISCO MOBILE / VLADIMIR SPOUTNIK (France)
    Local entertainer Vladimir Spoutnik moves towards the audience, wandering through the streets or pathways of your event, shaking up conventions with kindness to create surprise and intimacy with his audience.
  • THE PITIPIAFS / COMPAGNIE MACHTIERN (France)
    The Pitipiafs are three large imaginary and colorful birds, resembling incredible ostriches. Animated by a bold, reckless, and joyful character, they are somewhat stubborn and explore their environment with curiosity.

  • THE SEAMPUNKERS / STELZEN ART (Germany)
    The time travelers of Stelzen-Art move through all eras and worlds. Always seeking the happiness they radiate within their environment, they conquer the audience’s heart.
  • THE CHELOUX / COMPAGNIE MORPHOSE FLOW (France)
    Waste had piled up everywhere. Small bits of stuff, nothing at all. New ultra-cellular specimens were forming. Birth of a weird-bi phenomenon: The Cheloux, the gang of stamped and gentle monsters…
  • THE PINK FLAMINGO / COMPAGNIE MACHTIERN (France)
    A gigantic mechanical toy, it comes to life under the action of its manipulators, stretches out its long neck, and invites itself to the windows of upper floors. Close to the ground, it observes the surrounding audience then launches into a round dance that turns the street into the stage of an improvised ballet.

  • WONDER WORLD / STELZEN ART (Germany)
    This is the story of little Alice and her colorful fantastic world. Burlesque rabbits, wild hellish dogs, and the domineering Queen of Hearts with her court will turn the church square into Wonderland’s scenery.
  • DUO NIKKI EN PISTE / COMPAGNIE COLBLOCK (France)
    These three ogresses live with the same lightness, a permanent party; they are continuously driven by incredible curiosity. Everything attracts, amuses, annoys, and makes these mischievous women laugh, as imposing as they are endearing.
  • STATION 1903 / ZI OMNIBUS CIRK (France)
    An unprecedented journey into the world of dreams and imagination, emerging from the fabulous era of early 20th-century sky pioneers. STATION 1903 is a parody of the Wright brothers, the famous first to fly a heavier-than-air powered aircraft.
