Chamonix, the world capital of Mountaineering, located at the foot of the roof of Europe, Le Mont Blanc, offers the authenticity of a mountain village and, among other things, the possibility to ski in high mountains in a majestic setting.
Whatever your desires, you will find a ski area suited to your level of skiing in Chamonix.
Ski slopes intended primarily for families and beginners at Planards, Savoy, Chosalets, the Village du Tour, Brévent, or even Vormaine. But also big ski sectors with the Grands Montets and some of its ungroomed pistes (Point de vue – black, Pylônes – black, Variante Hôtel – red, and La Remuaz – black), or the combes of Brévent.
But Chamonix is above all the mythical Vallée Blanche. Beware, here you enter the world of high mountain. If you do not have a perfect knowledge of winter high mountain and glacier progression techniques, use the services of a mountain guide. And even with a guide, remember that a good skiing level is essential, as well as good physical condition.
